Kareem “Reemo Meerak” Tyson: Connecting Culture, Conversation and Media
Kareem “Reemo Meerak” Tyson has built his career around conversation, culture and creating opportunities for voices across entertainment and media. Known as “The Social Dweeb of Hip Hop,” Tyson is a multi-hyphenate media personality, actor, podcaster, blogger and A&R executive whose journey began in New York City. Born in East Harlem and raised in Laurelton, Queens, he has been active within entertainment and independent media since 2006, developing a brand that reflects both his New York roots and his curiosity about the people shaping today’s culture.
At the center of his media work is Reemo Meerak: The C.U.T.S. Podcast, with C.U.T.S. representing Culture, Urban, Technology & Sports. Through the platform, Tyson creates space for conversations with creatives, entrepreneurs, technology professionals, athletes and other personalities with stories worth exploring. His interview approach places an emphasis on the person behind the profession, allowing guests to discuss their experiences, careers, challenges and accomplishments while connecting those stories to the larger culture.
Tyson’s work extends well beyond the microphone. He currently serves as A&R Manager for Worldwide Soundz Records, bringing his media experience and understanding of entertainment into artist development and the business side of music. His résumé also includes producing We Got Game for Hot 97 NY and establishing Reemo Meerak Brand, LLC, giving him an independent foundation through which to develop his podcasting, content and media ventures. Together, those roles demonstrate how he has positioned himself at the intersection of music, broadcasting, digital content and entrepreneurship.
His experience has also carried over into television and acting. Tyson has appeared in projects including Blue Line and the television series Zoo Boro, while his media journey has included appearances connected with MTV and The Drew Barrymore Show. Each opportunity represents another extension of a career that refuses to be confined to a single title. Whether he is conducting an interview, working behind the scenes, appearing on camera or helping identify talent, Tyson continues building experience across multiple areas of the entertainment industry.
For Kareem “Reemo Meerak” Tyson, the evolving media landscape provides room for all of those disciplines to meet. His C.U.T.S. platform reflects a generation of independent media creators who are not waiting for one traditional outlet to define their careers—they are developing their own brands, producing their own conversations and connecting directly with audiences. From East Harlem to Queens and into the broader entertainment world, Reemo Meerak continues using media as his vehicle for documenting culture, amplifying people and expanding his footprint as a personality, podcaster, content creator and entertainment professional.
